Statement on Homicide in London, ON 

It is with deep sorrow that we have learned about the murder of the Muslim family in London, Ontario earlier this week. Our thoughts are with Fayez, the only survivor, his family, and all Muslims as they grieve the unnecessary and tragic deaths.  

This hateful attack is a reminder that racism continues to exist, and as allies, we must take meaningful action to prevent it. Palliative Manitoba does not tolerate racism and hate in any form. We walk beside Muslims today, and every day.  

Manitoba’s Muslim community plans to have a physically distanced, safe vigil on Thursday, June 10 for the victims of the attack.  https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.6057611
