We’d like to sincerely thank the crafting community for their outstanding response to our request for hand made blankets to give to our End-of-Life Companion program clients. We are overwhelmed by your generosity! Needless to say, we are well stocked and won’t be in need for quite a while. Thank you so much for helping us bring a little comfort and compassion to those facing a life-limiting illness. It means the world to us and the people we support.

Each time we do a home visit for someone requesting a Palliative Manitoba End-of-Life Companion, they receive a lap blanket meant to keep them warm and let them know how important they are. We are down to our last few blankets and need your help! If you knit or crochet, and have some extra time and yarn on hand, our clients would love to receive something hand crafted by you with care.
Blankets should be approximately 36″x48″ and can be made out of any fiber using any stitch, as long as it’s soft and warm. Completed blankets can be dropped off during business hours at the Palliative Manitoba office located in Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Avenue, Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-4:00pm.
Please contact info@palliativemanitoba.ca if you have any questions.
