Palliative Manitoba is proud to be one of the leading providers of palliative care information in the province. We are happy to share our knowledge with families, caregivers, and people working in the palliative care field. We aim to change the conversation about death and dying, and to bring comfort and quality at end of life to Manitobans of all backgrounds, in all regions. We aim to connect individuals with the most appropriate programs, services and information they seek.
Our educational services include training for volunteers, support workers, health care aides and the general public. Palliative Manitoba also expanded our education component to rural communities with sessions on bereavement support.
Palliative Manitoba is proud to host the largest Annual Palliative Care Conference in the province, with leading keynote speakers and timely educational sessions. This accredited conference attracts many individuals from diverse medical fields in Manitoba.
Palliative Manitoba has developed many partnerships during its lifetime to ensure that we provide the most current information and services. We seek to grow continuously in meeting the needs of the community. This includes customized education sessions for corporations, organizations, community groups and other non-profit organizations – from understanding illness and aging, to understanding grief and bereavement. We aspire to be responsive to the province’s needs as our population ages.
