The holiday season is traditionally a time of joy for most. But, for those grieving, it can inspire feelings of loss, loneliness and social isolation. Many grieving people feel out of step with the world around them, yet are reluctant to admit their pain. The Memory Tree provides a way to acknowledge and remember people who have died.

In this year of pandemic, the Tree will not stand in its usual place at St. Vital Centre. However, individuals can still send a personal message to Palliative Manitoba and have it placed in a card and displayed in our office. Every card submitted will be kept to bless and burn at the Light the Memories Ceremony next spring.
